Denis Slieker, Managing Director

After several positions in consultancy and the telecom industry Denis founded GREENLease, the first environmentally aware car-leasing company in The Netherlands, in 2002. In 2004 Denis took on another challenge when he became Managing Director of Climate Neutral Group, a role which he later combined with a position as Director of Face Foundation.

Martijn Snoep, Forest Expert

Martijn holds a masters in Tropical Forestry from the Wagingen University and joined Face in 2007. Martijn has extensive experience in international forest carbon projects.

Raj Kumar, Carbon Project Manager

Raj worked as Product Manager for TUV-SUD South Asia before joining Face the Future as Carbon Project Manager. Within Face the Future Raj is responsible for the validation of the projects.

Frank Tijhuis, Controller

After more then ten years of experience as a Controller Frank joined Face in 2006. Besides the financial management of the organisation Frank carried out the controlling activities of the EU funded ENCOFOR program.

Janneke Schraven, Office Manager

Janneke provides support to the administration and operational processes of Face the Future and the daily management of the office in Utrecht.

 

LATIN AMERICAN OFFICE (PROFAFOR), QUITO, ECUADOR

Luis Fernando Jara, General Manager

Luis Fernando joined Profafor (Latin American office of Face the Future) in 1999 as General Manager. Under his management over 140 projects have been established in Ecuador. Luis has been a member of the FSC Policy Working Group and has a long track record in forestry and project development.

Bert Witteveen - REDD Specialist

Before joining Profafor Bert worked with SNV in Latin America as a community forest expert. Within Profafor Bert works on REDD projects.

Maria Belen Herrera, Technical Coordinator - GIS Specialist

Maria hold a Masters degree in environmental studies, is a geographer and specialises is GIS related matters.

Pablo Mogrovejo, Technical Coordinator - Forest Engineer

Pablo is involved in the daily technical forest support of projects across Ecuador.

Angel Sanchcez, Technical Coordinator - Forest Engineer

Angel holds a masters degree in Social Aspects and is involved in the daily technical forest support of projects across Ecuador.

Roxana Fernandez, Financial Director  

Roxana, accountant by education and profession acts as Financial Director.

Sandra Serna, Assistent

Sandra takes care of the office management, seed sales and provides general administrative support to the management.

Omar Cajas, General Support

Omar is in charge of the equipment and provides general support.
