VCS methodology for Improved Forest Management (15 November 2009)
Face the Future developed a new methodology which is submitted to the VCS for approval. The methodology focusses on rehabilitation of logged over tropical forest and prevention of relogging. Once approved Face the Future will apply the methodology to our Infapro project in Malaysia.
VCS eligibility Kibale National Park forest rehabilitation project (15 October 2009)
The forest rehabilitation project in KNP Uganda has proven to be succesfull in terms of carbon sequestratiopn, biodiversity and benefits for local communities. The eligibility of the project against the VCS has been analysed, with a succesful outcome. Currently the preparations are made to have the project validated and verified under the VCS in 2010.
Development of a REDD project in Ecuador (15 October 2009)
Our collegues in Ecuador are developing a PDD for a REDD project in the Ecuadorean Amazon region. The project is designed together with six local communities and includes improved agricultural techniques.
