The financial success of a project depends on the ability to sell the carbon credits (VERs/CERs) at the right moment and at the right price. The sales of the carbon credits define in many cases the financial feasibility of a project. Depending on the carbon standard used, the carbon credits from forestry projects can be sold in the compliance market and/or the voluntary market. Face the Future  markets the carbon credits from projects she develops. It is also possible to hire Face the Future to solely market carbon credits. The typical deliverables of carbon marketing services are:
Signed credits contract (ERPA) between buyer and seller Signed project contract between buyer and seller (in case of a project sale instead of a carbon sale) Transaction of carbon credits Since carbon credits are mostly generated after the implementation of a project (ex post) the income from the sales of carbon credits follow un upfront investment in projects. This is one of the challenges that many forest related projects are facing. Face the Future does not provide upfront funding to projects herself, but can facilitate the application of upfront funding from investors, development funds and other organisations.
